Joseph LaBrosse ’85

Joseph LaBrosse ’85 is the Chief Executive Officer of Grove Real Estates LLC and a managing financial partner in several diversified private real estate partnerships. He has closed over $1 billion of public and private equity, debt, and derivative transactions in his 30-year career. He has significant experience in retail, office, residential, land, and master planned communities. Joseph’s current portfolio includes partnership interests in community retail, mixed use, suburban office, medical office, a large master planned development, and land in Southern New England and Charleston SC.

He began his professional career in the audit and tax departments of Arthur Andersen & Co. and later became a Certified Public Accountant. He holds an M.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. He is also a member of the National Association of Realtors.

The trial court properly excluded LaBrosse from recovery of no-fault benefits under the assigned claims plan because he owned a motor vehicle at the time of his accident that was not insured. This decision is affirmed.

LaBrosse’s parents were from Quebec and he was raised as a Catholic. His father was a merchant and his mother was a homemaker. She also ran a small business from their home. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also played the piano and violin.

LaBrosse is a devoted husband and father. He and his wife have two daughters. He is involved in the community as a volunteer for several nonprofit organizations. He is also on the board of the Greater Hartford Chamber of Commerce. The couple currently lives in Glastonbury, CT. They have recently started a free program called FLIP that is offered to urban high school students in Hartford, Hartford County, and Pathways Magnet School in East Hartford. They hope to greatly expand the program in the future.

Nick has always been fascinated by the ins and outs of real estate transactions, the development of the city he calls home, and the diverse neighbourhoods it offers his clients. That passion naturally led to his career, where he has specialized in home purchases and sales since 2008. Tenacious, confident, and creative, he is constantly looking for new ways to offer unparalleled service and better satisfy his clients’ needs.

Prior to becoming a Realtor, Nick graduated from the Business Marketing program at La Cite Collegiale and worked within the financial department of the National Research Council. But his love for real estate soon took over, and he has successfully represented his clients in more than 450+ real estate transactions since the beginning of his career.
